The Alternative Meeting

<!-- @page { size: 8.5in 11in; margin: 0.79in } P { margin-bottom: 0.08in } -->We have also prepared an evening program. This is just some recommendations for entertainment after the scientific sessions. Take this great opportunity to know our city and interact with other participants.

Sessions

The 7 sessions will be structured depending on the characteristics of the research presented, ranging from basic developments in bioinformatics towards biomedical applications or systems biology. The sessions are not correlative, although the structure of the different blocks will be taken into account in order to organize the conference as an integrated event.

  • Session 1: Algorithmics (Chair: Gabriel Valiente, UPC)
  • Session 2: Genome and Evolutionary Bioinformatics (Chair: Mar Alba, ICREA-IMIM)
  • Session 3: Structural Bioinformatics (Chair: Alfonso Valencia, CNIO)
  • Session 4: Analysis of "omics" data (Chair: Arcadi Navarro, UPF)
  • Session 5: Systems Biology (Chair: Manuel Cánovas, UM)
  • Session 6: Biomedical Informatics (Chair: Alejandro Pazos, UDC)
  • Session 7: Tools (Chair: Josep Lluis Gelpí, UB)

The schedule for the organization of the different events within this program is available here.
